GETTING BETTER TOGETHER

I, and all my family, have always loved animals, insects, and all inhabitants of this beautiful World. Our youngest son and his girlfriend work for the RSPCA so we have been blessed over the years to share our home with some beautiful animals. So, when my husband suggested that I try writing children’s stories (I think he was fed up with typing my endless poetry!) it seemed natural to write about the animals and insects that I love. I have also, for the last ten years been retraining myself to read and write again and I have during this time seen many `Human Doctors`. (Very special people these `Human Doctors`!).

But, whilst writing one thing has become very apparent to me, and that is that we all need each other. On our own we can struggle, but together I believe we can perform miracles. Today with so much in our World changing I believe we need each other more than ever. Sometimes our old houses need to be knocked down so that we can build better, warmer ones. It is so sad to see our loved and familiar homes, jobs, ways of life knocked down, but even as we watch them disappear, we know we will always keep their memories safe in our hearts.

It takes great courage to venture forward and build what could be a better future for us all. I believe we can only do this together and united. Just as Freddie needed help to find his croak, I believe we must all help each other as we go forward.

I have needed help over the last ten years. Please ask for help and support if you need it.  So, dear friends, look after each other and go forward and face the future with courage, because sometimes, showing courage is all that we can do. Together and with all the courage we can find we can make a better future for all of us.

Seeing my two books published has for me been nothing short of a miracle. Before I became unwell reading was my love, my life, and my hobby. So, to be unable to cope with the movement of reading and writing was awful. But I have learnt that inside us all is a place that is so strong that when you find it you can move mountains. This place is where love and compassion live, and it is there inside all of us. You just need to find it. It is a place of such beauty and grace and kindness. It is also where courage lives. If you can, when life gets difficult, find this place inside yourself. Then you might find that what is unbearable can become bearable. Never give up. To think that I cannot read a book, use the computer or travel in a car unless the windows are covered to avoid seeing movement, and yet I have had two children’s books published. How truly amazing is that? Thank you everyone.
